Finally got around to checking out Momiji after seeing Rodrigo always showing it off on Twitter and what a book! Feels like a comic that could have been in Image. And though it’s got that 90s Image Comics look, I feel like it would be right at home there today. The artwork is something else! Everything is dialed in, perspectives are top notch and the characters are highly detailed. Top it off with a grand color job and copious amounts of gore and you’ve got yourself a good time coming. Neat story that just leaves me wanting to know more about this mercenary centered universe. Keep up the good work fellows and carry on.

I don’t usually buy digital comics, but I gave Momiji a try. It was worth it. For that low low price you get a giant-size issue full of action, action, and more action. There’s hardly a panel where something isn’t happening. There’s none of that decompression sickness that’s infected comics in this book, it keeps things moving, it keeps the blood pumping, and the art is expressive, dynamic, and well laid-out.
