For anyone who has ever considered the television set as a close member of the family.

And the loss that can be felt when one finally passes away, beyond all repair.

Well in Pizza Boyz Issue 5, the boyz deal with death, sadness, and learning to remember all the good times when they’re buddy Mitch fades away. To bring forth his legacy, they construct a public memorial to honor the legend that was. So come on down and romanticize the fun an ole friend brings. It’s just like you remember, only black and white.

Pizza Boyz created, written, and drawn by Spencer Scott Holmes – 2018

Having come in at issue 5 and needing a break while reading from laughing too much i can safely say i need to go and get the previous issues and be there for the next one!
The story is crazy but it works so well. Everyone has had a T.V they dearly loved and at some point had to say goodbye! Reading brought back some memories. I love how the characters interact with each other and you feel how much the did love that the TV. The build up is great. See everyone mistake the TV for a real person was excellent and very well done. I look forward to what comes next! Count me in!

What I love about Pizza Boy is what I think the comic book industry could use more of – great, hilarious fun. Reminds me some of the Knights of the Dinner Table, which I also love. Plus, it’s 28 pages! For $1.99! This series is definitely worth your time and your $$.

This isn’t usually my style of comic but lately I have been opening myself to all sorts of indie experiences so I picked it up! I really liked the change of pace to the balls to the wall action and horror that I am usually attracted to.
Pizza Boyz was a great little slice of nostalgia then painted a grin on my face remembering days past of careless fun. A simple premise that is relatable to a generation escalates into an unprecedented scenario that you would usually see play out in a movie.

    +5 for a good time!

I’m not usually much into comedy style comics but I have to say, Pizza Boyz 5 was genuinely an enjoyable read! There were more than a few laugh out loud moments for me and I have absolutely no regrets from buying. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a bit of comedic nostalgia. This one really took me back 🙂
