What does it mean to be an introvert, with a rich and happy internal life, experienced by you alone? And what does that look like to people who are concerned and hope you’ll “come out of your shell?” That’s my take on this issue of Lost Time. We meet Simon, a little boy, who his entire family is concerned for. As he grows, his family only gets more concerned. Rendered in simple grayscale images, Simon is a break from the wonderful, vibrant colors we’re used to in this series. So much of Lost Time is about sharing experience and point of view that when we get a story that isn’t about those thing, it’s striking in its absence. Another wonderful issue.
