Delilah has an exceptionally good memory, which can cause her to not only remember events, but relive them. Because of this, bouts of anxiety induced by painful experiences make it nearly impossible for her to come to terms with reality. As each compounding memory threatens to overwhelm her, she struggles to live in the present moment.

Warning: Non-linear storytelling. You may have to read the comic more than once to organize the narrative (though, to be fair, this does mean that the comic offers a new experience upon re-reading, which you may see as a positive)

JWC has a magical power – to make me cry about characters I’ve only known for about 20 pages. After experiencing The Citric Arc, I couldn’t wait to get my eyes on Lost Time. Again the art and colors are gorgeous, but most importantly they’re meaningful and emotive. This is a powerful and poignant story told in moments that are layered and quilted together perfectly. This is talent, this is creativity, this is amazing.

What a wonderful first issue. Lost Time needs some uninterrupted reading time to process the story. Not because it’s too complicated or convoluted. Quite the opposite. Sweet, heartfelt, and emotional — it’s the kind of story that will stick with you long after reading.

What must it feel like to live every moment constantly? In a life of pain and loss, it must be torture. This first issue tells the story of how one girl navigates that life. It’s beautifully told, even as the story is in a fractured timeline. JWC continues to create bittersweet little stories about characters you want to hold and comfort. Great work.
